DAY 2	DAY 02: SRINAGAR: SUNDAY, MAY 22, 2022 Morning after breakfast, check out of the houseboat Visit Shankar Acharya temple and the three Mughal Gardens – Shalimar Gardens, Nishat Bagh and Chasma Shahi. Drive from Leh to reach the Khadong la pass, Continue your drive to Hunder. Dal Lake

Shikhara Ride on the lake

A Shikhara is a traditional Gondola-type light rowing boat that is mostly seen on the pristine Dal Lake and now in other lakes in Srinagar. Along with the houseboats, it is also considered to be a cultural symbol.

Apart from leisure and tourism purposes, the shikhara is also used by the locals for seaweed harvesting, fishing, and transportation.

Gulmarg Gondola

One of Kashmir’s prime attraction is the Gulmarg Gondola, giving you a ride of a lifetime, taking you over pine-covered forests and snow-topped mountains in the stunning Himalayas to view the unforgettable and unmatched Nanda Devi, LOC, and Pir Panjal range.

It takes off at 2,990 m and has a vertical climb of 400 m in the first phase between Gulmarg Resort to Kongdoori Station, carrying 1500 people every hour. It goes up to 4200 m in the second phase when it connects Kongdoori Mountain to Apharwat Peak, carrying 600 people every hour.
