Gir National Park, also known as Sasan Gir, is one of India’s most iconic wildlife sanctuaries and a globally significant conservation area in Gujarat, making it the only place in the world where one can sight the Asiatic lions. This National Park is recognized as one of Asia’s most successful wildlife conservation stories. Consisting of dry deciduous forests, combined with grasslands, scrublands and two perennial rivers, with over 400 species of plants growing in the jungle in a semi- arid climate, year after year, Gir has a rich biodiversity of flora and fauna and shelters animals apart from the Asiatic Lion, like the leopard, stripped hyenas, jackals, jungle cats, nilgai, chinkara, sambar and spotted deer. Gir is also a paradise for birdwatchers with over 300 recorded bird species, including both resident and migratory birds. The park’s rivers and water bodies host reptiles such as Marsh Crocodiles, Monitor Lizards, Indian Cobras and Pythons. DAY 01: MUMBAI – DIU – GIR NATIONAL PARK: WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 21, 2026
Arrive at Diu Airport. Meet your chauffeur and leave for Gir National Park (67 km – 01 hour and 45 minutes. Arrive and check in at the Jungle Resort. Lunch at the Jungle Resort. Afternoon leave on a guided walking tour to explore the flora and fauna in the buffer zone of the park. Dinner and Overnight at the Jungle Resort, Sassan Gir.( L, D)
DAY 02: GIR NATIONAL PARK: THURSDAY, OCTOBER 22, 2026
Early Morning leave for the Devalia Safari Park, the Park is an open zoo where animals are allowed to roam freely around in a restricted area under supervision, and people are allowed to watch them from a jeep. Apart from the Lion you will be able to see the Leopard, Hyena, fox and deer. Return to the hotel for breakfast. After breakfast leave to visit the Marsh Crocodile Breeding Centre near Sinh Sadan. Afternoon, embark on a Jeep Safari at the Gir National Park (0600 hours to 0900 hours) The National Park plays host to the Asiatic lion, Indian leopard, jungle cat, striped hyena, golden jackal, Bengal fox, Indian gray mongoose, ruddy mongoose, and honey badger. Asiatic wildcat and rusty-spotted cat. Return to the Jungle Resort. Dinner and Overnight at the Jungle Resort, .Sassan Gir. (B, L, D)
DAY 03: GIR NATIONAL PARK – SOMNATH TEMPLE –: FRIDAY, OCTOBER 23, 2026
Early morning leave on a Gir National Park Safari. Arrive at the hotel for breakfast. After lunch at the Jungle resort, check out and leave for Somnath. (57 km – 01 hour and 28 minutes) Arrive and check in at the hotel. Evening visit the temple for darshan,(VIP Darshan for all group members) Somnath Temple is the first among the12 Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva. Return to the hotel. Dinner and Overnight at the hotel (B, L, D)
DAY 04: SOMNATH – DIU: SATURDAY, OCTOBER 24, 2026
Morning after breakfast leave for Diu (67 km – 01 hour and 45 minutes) Arrive Diu and visit the Diu Fortress, a Portuguese-built defense fortification in 1535. A large light house is also located at one end of the fortress. Today it is a landmark of Diu and one of the Seven Wonders of Portuguese Origin in the World. The Diu Fort is home to two notable churches: St. Paul’s Church and St. Thomas Church. St. Paul’s Church is a functional church. It is known for its elaborate Baroque façade and intricate woodwork. St. Thomas Church, now a museum, houses antique statues, stone inscriptions, and wooden carvings, and is a testament to the region’s Christian heritage. Leave for our hotel. Arrive, check in and lunch at the hotel. Evening at leisure on the beach. Return to the hotel. Dinner and Overnight at the hotel, Diu (B, L, D)
DAY 05: DIU – MUMBAI: SUNDAY, OCTOBER 25, 2026
Morning after an early breakfast leave for the airport. Arrive at Diu Airport and leave for your homeward bound destination (B)
